It looks, at first glance, like it's the size of one of the easy chapter books, but it's much more complex than that. I found it to be an interesting read, but I think it was too long for Blaze and had too many details for him to keep track of. I think it would be great for a 4th or 5th grade student with an interest in the Revolutionary War.
Since the book described not only the American Revolution, but also the French, I looked up Allan Sherman's silly song about the French Revolution on YouTube and found this version, acted out with legos.
