Ocala National Forest

We're back from a weekend camping in the Ocala National Forest. Here is a slideshow of the interesting creatures we saw on our camping trip:

In addition to these animals, we also saw a small black bear ( the first wild bear I've seen in Florida ), but I didn't get a picture of it.

More camping pictures to come...

Wow, that's a lot of wildlife. I didn't realize Florida has bears!

I'm glad you were able to go camping, and I look forward to seeing more posts about your trip. :)

Ok, the forest covers a HUGE area in Florida, lol! I had to google it and see where it was. :)

I'm slightly embarassed to admit, I've had such a strange idea of what Florida is...a combination of Miami Vice, Golden Girls, and alligators eating everyone, lol! Kayla will be studying US geography in 5th grade (still a year away), but I think we'll pick a few states to really learn about. Florida will be one of them, as I am finding it very interesting.
