I had no idea that there was such a thing as sparkle gel for cake decorating, until I was a Michaels earlier today. It can't be used in place of frosting, because it's transparent, but it adds a nice shine and a little color on top of frosting.

Blaze's airship cake
The new airship cake is finished. This time I used a football shaped cake pan to make the "envelope" of the airship and cut the ship part out of a round cake.

I had no idea that there was such a thing as sparkle gel for cake decorating, until I was a Michaels earlier today. It can't be used in place of frosting, because it's transparent, but it adds a nice shine and a little color on top of frosting.
