Egyptian Feast

Photobucket

Every three years, the school that I work at has the children learn about World History, which includes ancient Egypt. The recipes that follow are ones that I printed out to send home with the students after having an Egyptian Feast with the first and second graders six years ago. We revisited these recipes this past week at home, as we were wrapping up our unit on Egypt.

The tabouli recipe:

There were a couple more books to read

and a couple more projects,

but now we are moving on to ancient Greece.

  5. We homeschool our 14 year old autistic son. I've found he learns best when we do hands-on activities. We're trying to finish up our Ancient Egypt unit and go on to studying Ancient Rome. We've done a cooking component for a very long time, so I'm searching for both Egyptian and Roman recipes to make. Unfortunately, I'm having problems with your blog. All I'm seeing is a Photobucket.com link instead of recipes. Is there any chance you could email me at least a really great recipe or two for both periods?? If I have to, I can continue searching so we can create a "feast" to finish up both units. Then, it'll be on to Greece and who knows when or is it where?
