This week's featured teapot racer is "Death Becomes You", which was driven by Maddox Haycrett, our youngest contestant at the Big River Steampunk Festival's Splendid Teapot Races this year.
Somebody dropped a teapot on the Wicked Witch.
We could all learn something about handling frustrating situations by watching 4 year old, Maddox. There were some technical difficulties with his vehicle, but he never lost his cool and just figured out how to keep going.
Watching him with his dad, it is obvious that Maddox is a fast learner. He starts out with Dad's help, but does the second half of the course on his own. I hope he comes back to race again. It will be fun to see the amazing job he does next year.

How did you all fair from the hurricanes?
Have you found some place else to host your pictures besides photobucket? I'm looking for a new place for mine.
The hurricane turned more East at the last minute, so we were mostly spared. The power was out for 13 hours, but that's not bad.
I think I'm just going to load the pictures directly onto Blogger. I can't edit them that way, but it seems to be working. The idea of going back through all my blog posts to replace pictures just seems so daunting that I haven't even started yet.
Except for the depressing Photobucket situation, how are things going for you?
Mostly good over here. My husband should get his Ph D. in October, so we may be moving in December as he'll be applying for jobs.
i love all those.. very funny dressup :)
