New Halloween Decorations

 I found a cheap green wreath in our outside closet while I was cleaning and decided we needed a Halloween wreath. 

Everything I used was stuff we already had, including the spray paint. 

Dollar Tree black roses and raven were purchased last year.

I like the Art Deco, 1920's look of this year's Halloween decorations at Joann Fabrics, but was confused by the snake picture in this "Home Sweet Haunted Home" frame. 

       

DH helped me out by creating a new picture for the background, using a picture of my mother's house from the 1880's. 

Now it makes more sense.

A Tour of Our Tiny Garden

The Fortune Teller's Tent Part 2

I was at Walmart to buy potting soil and and found these beach mats in the lawn and garden area for $1.97 each. Suddenly, I felt inspired to make a floor mat for the fortune teller's tent.



I sewed three mats together, creating a 5'X6' mat.



This is the table that will be used for the fortune teller, although not the same chair.



Rolled up and ready to travel.

The Fortune Teller's Tent

This rag curtain will be the entrance to the fortune teller's tent.



This used to be a red Christmas candle lantern with fake greenery attached to the chimney. A new paint job and a battery-powered magnetic lightbulb make this perfect to help illuminate the fortune teller's tent.

I painted two old wooden folding chairs black and added nice soft cushions.

Pennant Banners

I have made a lot of pennant in the past few months, because I think they are the easiest way to give a party a circus look.

There is a 40-foot long solid colored black and white banner to go around the fortune teller's tent and 50- foot long and 20-foot long banner with printed fabric, like the one being shown in the picture below, that will circle the dining tent. There are also a 100-food and a 50-foot matching banner to decorate the area where the tables will be outside the dining tent and smaller banners for the inside of the tent.






There are two 10-foot printed fabric banners to decorate random, undecided spots and a 5-foot one for the front of the bar. The bar banner and the ones for inside the dining tent have little lights sewn onto the point of each pennant.

This solid colored black and white banner has the name of the circus and various circus themed charms sewn onto the tip of each pennant.

Our Spring Facial Fashion Show

I haven't done a lot of sewing lately. There has been surprisingly little time during the Covid19 crisis.
I have made a couple masks, though, so we can venture out into the World for shopping.

My husband doesn't like the masks, so I gave him this scarf instead, which he says is much better.
