Hmmm. So, in publishing, i.e. in journalism, this is no "First Annual" or "Second Annual." An event can not be described as annual until after two successive and consecutive years.
Not that it really matters, but it makes me feel better that my journalism degree wasn't a complete waste of time. ;)
LOL! There was a journalism major there who had said the same thing. But, they are already talking about next year. The organizers believe that next year it will be an even bigger event.
:) Even if it is planned for next year you're not supposed to use annual until the third year.. But I think it is just a journalism thing, I'm not sure if it is or isn't proper for English.
