I made this little slideshow of Blaze's airship pirate birthday party, using the song "Across the Sky" by Emilie Autumn as the background music.
I only had two hours to turn a plain white room, with crayon marked folding tables, into a birthday party, so I ran out of time before some things got done. It didn't really matter, though. The kids had a great time. As DH said, "they don't know what it looked like in your head."

Oh wow...the K's are totally impressed. I tried to find on your blog your post with all of Blaze's past Halloween costumes, but couldn't find it. Now I'm thinking it might have been on your facebook. ???
Oh, and by the way, both girls adore YOUR Halloween costume this year. :)
I think my girls are going to be peeking around at your blog over the next few days. They love your projects.
and from Katie and Kayla:
Cool birthday party Blaze!
Thank you so much!

Thank you! I'm not sure if you receive copies to your email of comments left on your posts...but my girls have been busy looking at your sewing and cooking tonight. :) Sorry about the overload of comments, lol, but a few of the posts they insisted I leave a few thoughts from them. And thank you for sending us this link. Kayla loves the astronaut, Katie loves Zorro, and Emily (who's home now and been looking, too) loves Robin Hood.
Thanks!
A friend let me spray paint his old motorcycle helmet for the astronaut costume. The Zorro costume was store-bought ( after Halloween sales at Target, the year before).
I was looking forward to the pictures of this party. Amazing!
Following this blog is such a pleasure, I can only hope to be as great a parent as you when the time comes. Super-belated Happy Birthday to Blaze!
