The Pilot Cap

Blaze let me know several months in advance that he wanted to be Ray from the movie Steamboy for Halloween, so I've been trying to figure out how to pull off this costume for awhile. The first thing I made for this costume was the pilot cap. I made the cap out of a black leather mini-skirt that I purchased for $4 at a resale shop, and some left-over brown leather from the messenger bag I sewed.

The cap is reversible, black on one side



and brown on the other.



I don't have a pattern to share. I made the pattern by tracing the profile of Blaze's head.
