Happy Birthday Ula, Followed by Corner View: Backdoor

Happy 20th Birthday to my eldest child!

I found these lovely pictures of her at a recent school dance on Facebook. I know she complained about wearing this black lace dress, but she really does look nice in it.

I had a little trouble with this week's Corner View, because we live in University Family Housing and our apartment does not have a back door or a back window. The view from our front door is an ugly concrete breezeway, so if you aren't all tired of seeing the birthday girl yet, my Corner View for this week is Ula at the Gazebo behind our apartment building on her birthday last year.

Please visit these other Corner View participants, many of whom probably have backdoors or back windows:

She's certainly a pretty lady isn't she?

Please pass on my birthday wishes to her. :)

Curious...I'm quite inspired with how much she writes on her blog. Has she published anything? Maybe a short story or something in a magazine?

Crescent Moon said...

No, she hasn't published anything yet. The stories she's been putting on her blog lately are part of a larger fantasy novel that's she been working on for several years now and she'd like to get that published someday, but she's never quite satisfied and keeps re-editing.

has ula read Nanci Atwell's In the Middle? if not she should! she'd love it! highly recommended! "'ula" - swedish?

Crescent Moon said...

I think the name is Swedish. I let her choose her own on-line name, because she didn't want her real name being used. She told me that is means "from the sea". She's very into the history of ships, Vikings, and Pirates, so the name fits.
