Another Revolutionary Week

We have continued to learn about the American Revolution this week, by reading the following books:

This took two nights of reading as a bedtime story.

I spent quite awhile at the public library trying to find a book that had been recommended for this unit, called The Scarlet Stocking Spy, but our library doesn't have a copy.

We also read Charlie Needs a Cloak, since we had been playing with wool last week.

I discovered that You Tube had the entire Disney movie, Ben and Me posted in 2 parts, so we watched that yesterday. If you have never seen this movie, it's a cute little film about a mouse who helps Ben Franklin come up with some of his most famous ideas.

Another fun discovery, was that Colonial Williamsburg has a children's website with games and activities:

This sounds like such a fun unit with all the great books you're using. Thanks for the Williamsburg link.
